Akaroa Criterion Motel is situated opposite Children’s Bay. It is a 16-minute walk from Mt Vernon Akaroa. Everything. I only stayed a night but it was perfect. The room (and the bathroom) was huge and had everything. The room also had a balcony overlooking the water.

The room was clean, spacious, and with nice furniture and wall-decorations. The kitchenette was small but had everything we needed, and the bathroom was simply as it should be. The center of Christchurch was about 15 minutes walk away, and there were plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. There was also a large park with botanical gardens nearby, which we enjoyed very much.
